Delete Account

This page explains how to delete your Ask Shannon account and what happens to your data. Account deletion is performed by the account owner from either Shannon surface — the web app at app.askshannon.ai or the Shannon mobile app on iOS or Android. Deletion is permanent once the grace window described in our Terms of Service closes.

Delete via the web app

  1. Sign in at app.askshannon.ai.
  2. Open Settings.
  3. Choose Delete Account.
  4. Follow the on-screen confirmation steps.

Delete via the iOS / Android app

  1. Open the Shannon app and sign in.
  2. Open Settings.
  3. Choose Delete Account.
  4. Follow the on-screen confirmation steps.

Can't sign in? Recover access with your sign-in provider — Google account recovery, Apple ID recovery, or your email-password reset — and then follow the steps above.

What happens when you delete your account

  • Your Shannon account, conversations, and learned context are removed.
  • Your per-user sandbox infrastructure — the compute machine and persistent volumes Shannon runs on your behalf — is destroyed.
  • Your Google OAuth grants (Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Drive) are revoked with Google.
  • For other connected services (e.g. Notion via Composio): we delete the tokens we hold. You can also revoke Shannon's access at the source provider directly for defense in depth.
  • If you used Sign in with Apple: we delete our records of your account. You can also manage and revoke Sign in with Apple connections at appleid.apple.com.
